EQUIPMENT USED
The word photography comes from the Greek words Photos and Grafein. This means Light Writing or writing with light. However as the saying goes ‘don’t blame the tools the workman is too blame’ captures the essence of what equipment is. Photographic equipment is merely the tool available to capture a moment but it doesn’t take the shot itself or compose a stunning picture. The photographer behind the camera achieves that. Therefore even with the cheapest disposable camera a good photograph can be taken. Of course it helps to have the best equipment but what I am trying to say is that it is not necessary. You could buy the most expensive equipment available on the market and still not achieve professional results if you do not have patience, time and understanding of photography and your subject. What I am trying to say is that although the best equipment is useful it is the photographer who produces the image.
The equipment I use at present can be seen below. For reviews of most of these please see my article page. If you have any further questions on equipment or any other area of photography, don’t hesitate to contact me.
